Britney Spears European Tour Kicks Off On the Heels of Successful North American Tour

The pop superstar, Britney Spears, is solidifying her comeback in the music scene by announcing the European leg of her latest tour.

The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour will be kicking off on June 3. Fresh from the success of the 39 North American Tour, the Circus 2009 tour promises to be the largest arena concert event to ever hit Europe.

The tour will begin with an 8-night show at London’s O2 Arena on June 3. The tour will combine dazzling display of theatrics and magic with amazing song and dance numbers. The shows feature a cast of an estimated 50 dancers, acrobats, magicians, and clowns.

The series of shows not only boast of a huge amount of talent, it also has a travelling staff totaling 200 people. This 50-million dollar event is sure to bring the enormity and spectacle you’d expect from a Britney Spears show.

The tour’s North American leg took off in March 3 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the highest grossing tour of 2009 in North America to date. Hordes of fans, including the media, have raved about the “The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour” as it went around several parts of the US and Canada.
MTV was even quoted as saying the show “is truly a sight to behold…the biggest show under one roof.”

Clearly, Britney Spears still has the world enamored with her amazing ability to perform in front of hordes of music lovers. After five years, she has proven to the whole world that she still is a pop superstar.

And as she finishes the first leg of her North American tour, Spears announces the release of her new single, Radar, from the Circus album. “Radar” follows two other hit singles from the same album: “Womanizer” and “If U Seek Amy.”
